SCHOOL OF DIALOGUE
Teachers play an
important role in schools that continue their involvement in #SchoolOfDialogue
program. Dorota Budzińska, a Leader of Dialogue and a supervisor of a group of students from Dąbrowa
Białostocka inspires them to take action and develop new inventive ways to commemorate the local
Jewish heritage. Last year, they decided to honor the memory of Dąbrowa's Jewish community by
painting the names of Dąbrowa's Jews on cemetery's fence. They also work hard to popularize their
historical findings among the local community. As Dorota Budzińska wrote in her report: "Students'
efforts make town inhabitants familiar with the Jewish past of their town and bring back the memory
of places like the cemetery. We can safely say that the memory lasts."
